About CodeTime Apps

Hi, I'm Marcin. I build small, fast apps that stay out of your way.

CodeTime is my one-person company. Every app here is designed, built and supported by me, which means there is no team to hide behind and no ticket queue. If something is off, you write to me and I read it.

My Story

Most of my day happens on a Mac, and a lot of it is small stuff: copying a snippet I will need again in five minutes, jotting a note before it slips away, grabbing a screenshot without littering the desktop, jumping to the same shortcut for the hundredth time.

None of these jobs deserve a heavy app with a window, an account and a subscription. They deserve a tiny tool that is one click away and gone the moment you are done. So I started building them, one by one, for myself first. CodeTime Apps is where they live.

How I Work

I build each app the same way, with a few rules I do not break:

  • Native macOS, written in SwiftUI, so it feels like it belongs on your Mac
  • Your data stays on your Mac, with no accounts and no uploads
  • One job per app, done well, instead of a pile of features
  • Honest releases, with every change written up in the app's changelog

Where I Am Going

Right now I am getting the first apps ready for the App Store, and you can see them all on the home page. If you want to know when something ships, the newsletter is the best place to hear it first.
